The MOSS Mini tote is perfect for people who love our oversized velvet striped weekend bags, but want something a little more compact.
Like the larger AIRTH & ALVA bags, MOSS is constructed from repurposed antique garments and textiles. Through this process of deconstruction, we crafted our own fabric, featuring rich stripes that evoke the nostalgia of old, plush velvet sofas. We used some antique 1920's braid for the punchy stripes which show a flash of acid green.
The MOSS bags are lined with a beautiful quality satin backed silk, and feature a large internal pocket with contrasting green velvet trim.
PRODUCT DETAILS:
- Outer shell: Cotton velvet (repurposed from antique garments)
- Lining: 100% Silk (dead-stock).
- Antique braided stripes.
- Fastens with a magnetic popper closure.
- Straps will work over shoulder or arm.
REUSE & RECREATE: The textiles we use in our collections come from a range of sources which aim to reduce our environmental impact. We primarily use vintage and antique textiles. We also utilise salvaged and remnant fabrics from the fashion and interiors industry. As well as deadstock fabrics for lining.
As such, there may be small imperfections or blemishes in the fabric. We believe this is part of the appeal of buying a unique, handcrafted product, and we celebrate the idiosyncrasies. ALVA has a couple of tiny blemishes which are difficult to spot due to the brushed nature of this velvet. This does not detract in any way from the overall look.
CARE DETAILS: We recommend dry cleaning on all of our products. Velvet doesn't love the rain, so please take care in wet weather, water marks will dry out but your bag will keep in tip-top condition if you treat it with care.
Avoid Overloading: Do not fill your bags beyond their capacity. This can strain the seams and straps. Our velvet totes are great for clothing and overnight or everyday essentials.
