Stunning 1930's gown featuring a top with flowing sleeves, backed with frothy tulle, and covered in a lace overlay made from hearts. The top has been attached to a slender fit, silk velvet skirt with pockets.
The two pieces do not seem to be an original pair as both top and skirt have separate side zips. This could be altered and replaced with one complete side zip. There is also visible stitching along the waistband where the pieces have been attached to one another. This would benefit from having a belt as it would cover the stitching. There is a velvet bow attached to the front.
The neckline draws down to a nice v-shape on front and back with the outline of the hearts creating a pretty scallop shape.
Condition:Good - The heart lace is in tact as is the tulle, apart from one or two very small breaks on the back. The overlying lace protects this from breaking any further. The dress has a couple of marks which did not come out in cleaning. A Rust coloured spot (1/2 cm) which appears on the left sleeve. And a very faint mark underarm. The layers of tulle and lace which fall over this make it almost impossible to notice. Also, see the above for notes on visible stitching attaching the top to skirt. This is a knockout occasion piece but will need slight alterations to make it perfect. Please see condition key in T&C's
Measurements: Best fit UK 6/8 (Could be altered to slightly increase size)
